Snow Trips to The French Pyrenees

Jules and I attempt to instruct snowboarding and skiing with our broken Spanish. Special thanks to Ander for setting these trips up for us even though we only met face to face once, and to Haritz for passing the info along (and taking all the credit).

This is a pic of my first trip instructing snowboarding, it snowed so much that we had to leave early and couldn't get to the resort the next day. It was a shame that I wasn't able to take advantage of all the sweet sweet snow.

On a different trip, where Jules and I were teaching skiing (of all things) for 3 days. I hadn't been on skis in about 9 years I think, and even then I wasn't very good, but somehow I managed. Fear not fellow snowboarders, I didn't find skiing all that exhilirating and was wishing at all times for some comfy snowboard boots and a board to strap them into.

Jules with the group of students we taught. They were part of a school that teaches in basque, the local language here in the basque country, which is nothing like spanish or any other european language that I've seen. But they also know spanish, so we just asked for translations whenever the professors made annoucements. Often easier said than done but we managed

After skiing in the day we stayed in a hotel in Lourdes, a city apparently famous in Catholicism for a miracle that occured here. After dinner and wine, along with some other great instructors (Iñaki and Alvaro), we walked and checked out the place, but it was closed. I guess I can say I went all the way to Lourdes and all I have to show is this blurry photo.
